In celebration of the 100th Anniversary of Women’s Suffrage (1920-2020), the Abbot Public Library and the League of Women Voters of Marblehead are presenting a free public event, featuring guest speaker Susan Zimet. Zimet is a unique combination of author and activist, a person who has dedicated her professional life to key public policy issues such as the environment and women’s rights. She wrote, "Roses and Radicals: The Epic Story of How American Women Won the Right to Vote," -- her first book -- to provide a full picture of this effort, especially for young people. Facebook event
